Welcome to my new Website

Something I've wanted to do with my knowledge of programming is to not only create a personal website, but to easily be able to add content (like blog posts) and deploy it to my web server. Over the last couple days I have been working tirelessly on my own static site generator to achieve this. It takes a folder made up of content written in markdown and renders html and indexes subdirectories.

I haven't really stepped my foot professionally into the industry and haven't ever really touched python until now, but I actually had a lot of fun with this little project over my days off from work. Here is a list of things I plan to add to my website:

Plans for the site

• Home page; incl. name, photo and my social links
• About me; a more in depth overview of who I am. My hobbies, work history, media consuption, etc.
• Posts; whatever I feel like posting, could be a blog-type post or a project with a description indexed and sorted by date working on
• Link to resume

Future projects

• setup a matrix server for secure communication
• build a home lab
